Marconi - Document Sharing Module

Marconi Document Sharing module allows the user to add a fully equipped sharing platform to the powerful MODE based conference system. It comes pre-loaded in the server along with MD-CM Conference Management in order to integrate the role independent feature (Exclusive function by Marconi). Combine it with MD-SC and MD-AN to unleash the power of a fully equipped collaboration system.

DESCRIPTION

Document Sharing module for MODE based multimedia and interactive systems and that operates along with MD-CM module to add a document sharing platform on the multimedia interactive devices made by Marconi. This module allows the possibility to upload pdf files from any device connected and authorized in the MODE network. Any device means that it is possible to connect a laptop or a tablet and upload documents from such devices. Meetings will be more collaborative with this module installed. Combining this module with MD-SC Screen Cast and MD-AN Annotation will give you access to a true collaboration solution where all the Multimedia Units are able to not only visualize in real time the same document but also annotate the document while all users are participating. Document management and upload

It is possible to upload from any authorized device with control access in the MODE network to upload pdf files
The uploaded files are available on all the multimedia units connected and with the permission to access the document viewer section
It’s possible to upload large amount of files (*depending on the disk space available on the central server), an optimized protocol ensures the file is available with no issues on all multimedia units
Multimedia units can access the files from a dedicated section, scroll the pages, pinch to zoom, slide and navigate throughout the document easily

Annotate shared documents (available as option for MD-DS)

By adding MD-AN license to every MODE multimedia unit in the system allows the user to enable another permission on the MD-CM module: ANNOTATION
Annotation speaks by itself, allows the possibility to annotate shared document to create real and ultra-efficient collaboration environments
When present, MD-AN offers an intuitive menu with a toolbar on top of the shared document (if the user has permission to annotate) with tools such as: pen, pencil, outliner, shape drawer, comments, signature, lines, circles, free lines and many other great tools
Annotated documents are saved with a new name of the user who made the annotation so the participants can bring with them the annotated file

Combine Sharing -> Annotation -> Screen Cast to unleash the full power of a complete collaboration solution

When combined with the Screen Cast module (MD-SC) the annotation and the document sharing are available in real-time on all the multimedia units in the system and on external video displays. Just imagine a big projector in the room showing annotation made in real time by users on on their MODE23 or MODE27 devices!
